Limescale, silt, and organic deposits gradually clog the turbine and body of a pond pump. The flow rate drops, the motor works harder, and consumption increases. Regular cleaning, at least when restarting in the spring and before winterizing, keeps the pump in good condition.

Always unplug the pump before disassembling it, then soak it in the solution according to the product's instructions and rinse with clean water.
