Substrates for ponds and pools

This collection includes Velda substrates for ponds and water features: aquatic plant soil and Lelite soil, specifically designed for water lilies. They are used to fill planting baskets without clouding the water.

How to choose your substrate?

• Water lilies: Lelite aquatic soil, available in 10 or 20 L.
• Other aquatic plants: Plant Soil 10 or 20 L, or 40 L of aquatic plant soil.
• Volume: calculate the capacity of your baskets before purchasing.
• Do not use standard garden soil, as it is too rich and too light.

Aquiflor's advice

Fill the bottom of the basket with substrate, place the plant, then cover it with a layer of gravel to prevent fish from rooting around in the soil.
