This page brings together phytoremediation plants for the natural treatment of the water in your pond or lagoon area: oxygenating plants, marginal plants, water lilies, and deep-water plants.
How to choose your phytoremediation plants?
- Submerged or floating oxygenating plants: water cornflower, water pepperweed, water aloe.
- Marginal plants: yellow flag iris, water pourpieria, flowering rush, water jacinth.
- Water lilies in a large 3 L pot, in a dry kit or a 4-step kit, and water vanilla for the deep-water zone.
- Lagoon treatment: the 32-plant filter pack covers approximately 2 m².
- Surface area: plan for plants to cover approximately 1/3 of the pond's surface.
Aquiflor's advice
Combine several planting zones: oxygenating plants work underwater, marginal plants are planted along the edges, and water lilies shade the surface. To size your lagoon area, our team can advise you by calling 010 86 03 54 or by visiting the Nodebais store.
