A filtration kit combines the pump, filter, and UV-C clarifier in a single package, already sized to work together. It is the simplest solution for equipping a new pond or replacing an aging installation.
Two principles are offered by Oase. The FiltoClear Set is a pressure filter: it can be buried and pump water back to a waterfall or stream. The BioSmart Set is a gravity filter: water returns to the pond by gravity, so the filter must be placed higher than the water level.
To choose, start with the actual volume of the pond, then take into account the fish population and sun exposure: a densely populated or highly exposed pond requires a kit with a higher capacity.
