How to choose your pond heater?
- Keep a hole open in the ice: IceFree Thermo 200 or 330 heaters, IceFree 4 Seasons, Superfish Pond Heater.
- Floating model: Schego 300 W, placed on the surface.
- Higher power to warm the water: Aquaforte 1 kW stainless steel Profiheater.
- With a thermostat, like the IceFree Thermo 330, the device only operates when needed.
Aquiflor's advice
A simple hole in the ice is usually enough: it allows decomposition gases to escape. Reserve the more powerful heaters for koi ponds where you want to limit the drop in temperature.
