Nitrifying bacteria transform ammonium and nitrites, which are toxic to fish, into less harmful nitrates. They colonize the filter and the pond, but they need time to establish themselves: a liquid supplement accelerates this startup process.
Use them when filling a new pond, after cleaning the filter, when restarting in spring, or after a treatment. To choose the format, start with the pond's volume: the collection offers NitriBoost (1 L, 2.5 L, 5 L for 10 to 50 m³) and EcoTreat Nitrifier (500 ml to 2.5 L for 5 to 25 m³), as well as starter packs.
Pour near the filter inlet, with the filter running and the UV-C turned off for a few days, once the water temperature exceeds ten degrees.
